FACT: Most public shelters in California legally kill unweaned puppies and kittens immediately upon entering the shelter.

Take these 3 simple steps to bring about changes in shelters in order to save these most vulnerable --
YOUR HELP IS NEEDED!

STEP 1 - Educate the public by telling your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers that the problem exists.

STEP 2 - Donate to the USSPCO to enable us to produce and distribute Public Service Announcements to radio and televison stations in every community.

STEP 3 - Volunteer to help form a foster network to care for these puppies and kittens until they can be found homes.

The United States Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Others (USSPCO)

is a SPCA incorporated in California committed to saving animals.

Pets belong in homes and not in shelters. Over half the pets impounded in California's public shelters are killed. In some areas of the U. S. and for some types of animals impoundment is a death sentence. This is a tragic and unacceptable outcome in institutions called "shelters."

The USSPCO's We The People Pets programs work to prevent animal neglect and abuse before it happens and to keep pets in their homes through innovative outreach and support programs focusing on pet owners in the general public and on progressive managers in the animal sheltering industry.
